Hi All,
CBS should be finishing up tomorrow and hopefully life at the village will return to normal next week.
There have been some questions about the series. The name of the show is ARTNation and it will air most likely in May on the Smithsonian Channel and at some point will be available for streaming on Paramount plus. As soon as I know more I will share.
They did interview some of us and shot the host (Denim Richards) doing intros, wraps and promos. CBS had a preset list of themes for the 8 episodes and we directed them to the website to select artists which they did. They did their research and asked to see the artists on their list that fit their themes. Tom and I brought them around to the studios of the artists that they selected and even all those people didn't make the final cut for an interview. Some will only end up on the website and not on the TV show. We honestly don't even know how much will end up on the cutting room floor. The show is about pre-existing content from CBS News they already have in the can and the interviews and location are filler.
At the end of the day, MVA will get publicity and that will be good for everyone. One opportunity leads to others! We are becoming a 'destination' and I look forward to all the good things ahead.
Best,
Christine
Such a good thing. Thanks for the clarity, Christine. Looking forward to seeing it when it airs!
