"Inspirations in Transit" draws on the history of mail art, pioneered by Ray Johnson in the 1940s and formally named in the 1960s by Edward Plunkett. Through this project, we explore how artistic inspiration evolves when passed through the hands of another, creating a collaborative journey of reinterpretation. Hi all. I need someone with a truck or van to help move one of my large paintings from Brassworks Gallery in Montclair on Grove Street to the studio building tonight, Monday 9th or tomorrow the 10th at around 6pm. This is a ten minute drive, and there are no stairs on either end. Anyone? I can pay you $50 if that's fair? Thank you! The painting is 75 x 58 inches. An SUV is not large enough FYI, we've tried. :)

Hi All, A friend of a very dear, close friend of forty years (so I know the contact is good) is looking for artists to help paint her line of violins. She is looking for "young" artists mostly because she told me that she assumes mature ones would be too expensive to hire, and the work is basically color correcting of templates. She writes: "I am looking for young, able artists who may like to work at my company for me. We use different types of transfers and templates to apply artwork to our violins. Some color correcting with acrylics etc. Perhaps you know of some young artists interested in part time work?
