Get in touch:
What are you working on right now?
Right now, I am painting entirely abstract pieces, primarily in acrylic, but I also use other mediums for texture and line variation. I have a couple of large abstract pieces I am putting the finishing touches on. One is commissioned through an interior designer for a home in the area, and the other is for a beach house in the Hamptons. As an interior designer myself, I love designing specific unique pieces that enhance a color scheme and create a certain ambiance.
What would you like to say about Manufacturers Village Artist Community?
I am thrilled to be part of this community that has become my home-away-from-home. About eight years ago, I was introduced to this space, and since then, I have dreamed about having a studio here. It has been wonderful to get to know the artists in my unit, and I look forward to connecting with even more in other parts of the building.
What's next for you?
An interior designer during the day and an artist in the evenings and on weekends, it is a wonderful combo. I intend to continue to balance both of these creative outlets, with the ultimate goal being to focus on my painting practice. I desire is to do more of what I am doing, to keep learning, and pushing my edges and find my voice through my art in this wonderful environment.
I am also designing a retreat center in the stunning Catskill Mountains in New York State. This sanctuary focused on helping people heal and grow, is where I plan to share my passion for art allowing guests to “play” the way I do through workshops and art days.
