Harriet Finck

Drawing was my first love, but I trained and worked as an architect for years.
I turned to paint on paper collage and then painting in midlife.
I gravitate to the breakdown and reconstitution of form. I like to make tiny marks that coalesce.
I am attracted to various subjects: landscape, still life, swarms of faces, pebbles on a beach, quilts.
Cells, planets.
I often choose a theme or a phrase from an old Hebrew text as a guide.
