Jocelyn Fine

Jocelyn Fine is a New Jersey–based painter whose work explores sacred landscapes, moon cycles, and the animate life of the natural world. She works large, building the surface through a physical, choreographic process—charcoal before paint, rhythm and repetition drawing out recurring forms as if excavated rather than invented. She is represented by Kaliner Gallery (New York) and Sarah Shepard Gallery (Larkspur, CA), where solo shows include And the Moonbeams Kiss the Sea, We Were Never Here, and Until We Meet Again. Her work has shown at FORMah Gallery, Montclair Art Museum, and 5-50 Gallery. She was a 2025 Millay Arts Fellow and featured in Create Magazine's 50th edition. She holds an MS in Architectural Conservation from Columbia and a BFA from the University of Vermont, trained in painting conservation at the Istituto per l'Arte e il Restauro in Florence, and chairs Fine and Performing Arts at Montclair Kimberley Academy.
