Susanna Baker

Susanna Baker is a NJ based artist who enjoys using many different processes and materials to create unique artworks. She is drawn to biologically based shapes, finding inspiration in nature and the works of Haeckel, Luigi Serafini, and Thomas Nozkowski. Her imagery talks about the push and pull of what we see and what we don’t see- an opaque blue sky hides an infinite universe of objects, a drop of blood is filled with microscopic cells. Baker has exhibited widely in both group and solo shows, throughout NJ, NYC, Providence RI, and San Francisco CA. She has also curated a number of shows in the NJ area. She received her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design.
