Willa Vucetaj
Studio
Willa Vucetaj holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking. Her body of work spans from detailed abstract watercolor drawings to large-scale antimodernist paintings. These pieces attempt to reduce and abstract simple still lives into concentrated structures. She uses an unconventional method of application, pushing the paint and allowing the forms to expand, overlap and bleed into each other. A black fine liner is used to define the abstracted forms and create contrast against the negative white space in the composition. Willa also experiments with paper cutouts and other three-dimensional interpretations of her work.
