Gail Winbury’s paintings and collage have been in exhibitions and collections in the States, London UK, Italy, Germany, Athens Greece, and Mexico. Her recent solo exhibition at the Wilson Museum, Manchester, Vermont received a rave review in artscope Magazine among other publications. She is represented by the Carter Burden Gallery in Manhattan.Â
Winbury will have a solo exhibition of her paintings in the Carl Burger Gallery at Kean University in 2024. Her books will be in an exhibition at 5 Point Library, Jersey City with other book artists, October- December 2023. Her numerous solo and two person exhibitions include Frechard Gallery, Pittsburgh, Pa, Heinrich Heine Haus, Germany, 73See Gallery, Montclair, NJ among others. She has been in numerous group exhibitions in regional museums, universities and galleries in New Jersey, Manhattan, Massachusetts, and Italy.
She participated in many residencies not limited to the School of Visual Arts Manhattan, the Bau Foundation in Italy, and a master class with artist Joan Snyder. She was awarded an artist grant to Israel from the Jewish Federation. Her paintings were published in a book on Bach’s Cello solos among other publications including two catalogs of her work. Winbury has a doctorate in Psychology and currently is an MFA student at the Massachusetts Collage of Art and Design.Â
