Out Left Art: Call for Art/Studio Visits
Hey everyone! You might be aware that Alex Schoenberg and I have opened a temporary gallery space on the Upper East Side, specifically to showcase NJ artists, called Out Left Art. We have put together a great program in a beautiful space (next to David Zwirner and Hauser and Wirth!), completely volunteer run, and are on our third show. We will have the space through the end of June, and want to feature MV artists for their final show in June, The show will run from 6/9 - 6/26. A guest curator, Luma Lumane, will be curating this show, and is looking for art from our community to build her vision for her new art advisory business. We’re excited to see what Luma is thinking about! We hope you participate in this great opportunity to exhibit in the city and show the world what MV artists are made of!
Next Wednesday May 4th, Luma will be spending the day at the village for studio visits. Each session will be approx 30 min long will begin at 10am May 4th. She will be picking work that is no larger than 24" in any direction to accommodate the small gallery space. We ask that artists chosen to participate pay a $40 fee to cover costs of the show. Tom Nussbaum has generously offered to hold the art chosen for the show and we will arrange to have to transported and hung and transported back again and available for you to pick up at Tom's studio.
